Former Derby County Apprentice Paris Simmons has signed for Eastwood Town.
The 19 year old winger who made one Premier League appearance for the Rams, joins as a free agent having been released by the Championship Club at the end of last season.
Town boss Paul Cox is pleased to have gained the services over the former Burton and Lincoln City loanee to his squad.
He told the Club’s official website:
“I spoke with Paris when he was released by Derby at the end of last season, he had sustained an ankle injury while on loan at Lincoln City and was not offered a new contract. His agent told me that Wolves had offered him a trial and obviously we could not compete with the chance to join a Premiership team.”
“Unfortunately for the lad he didn’t get taken on by Wolves, so we have managed him to bring him to Eastwood. The lad actually lives opposite Coronation Park so him and [goalkeeper] Ian Deakin can walk to games together!”
“I wish I had an agent as good as Paris’ then again maybe (given those loan spells) it’s the product and not the seller!!!”
