MK Dons shot-stopper Seb Stacey has signed his first professional contract with MK Dons.
Stacey, who was included in the most recent edition of LFE’s ‘The 11′, told MK Dons’ website: “I’m buzzing, I really like it here, the club’s really good and this is pretty much what I’ve been working for my whole life. I’ve always wanted to get one (professional contract), so it feels really good to finally achieve it.”
The 18-year-old featured in a first team matchday squad for the first time back in February in an away match at Bradford City, something Stacey remembers fondly. “It was amazing. It was the first time that I had travelled with the team for a match and I was on the bench. We were unlucky with the result, but every experience is a good experience, whether you win, lose or draw, you learn. It was good to get that opportunity.”
Looking ahead to the next campaign, Stacey added: “My main aim is to make my debut. I’d like to push into the squad whether that be in the league or in the cup, I would just like to be involved in the squad more than I have been, but really I just want to improve and be around it a lot more.”
Both Albert Wood and Charlie Stirland have also just penned professional terms with the League Two side.
