Jamie Proctor has joined Shrewsbury Town on a one-month loan deal from Swansea City.
Proctor who joined the Swans in the summer from home-town club Preston, is the second player to arrive at the Greenhous Meadow in the last 24 hours after Thursday’s acquisition of Manchester City utility player Jeremy Helan, also on loan.
Both will be available for tomorrow’s League One clash with Colchester Utd at home.
The 20-year-old forward who moved to the Liberty stadium in the summer is yet to make his full first-team debut for Swansea but feels this move will benefit him.
“It’s perfect for me,” Proctor told BBC Radio Shropshire.
“I’ve loved it so far being at Swansea, but it’s been a bit stop-start and I need some games.
“I need to prove myself to them and get myself back to where I was.
“I started well at Preston last season, scoring a few goals, but then got a bad injury.
“And, when Swansea came calling in the summer, it was a real confidence boost.”
