Walsall Defender Richard Taundry has admitted that he can’t wait for tomorrow’s FA Cup second round tie at Dagenham.
Local lad Taundry who came through the club’s Apprenticeship programme knows that Dagenham will provide stern opposition but with both teams vying for a place in the third round and a chance to face one of the Premier League’s big boys, he is raring to go.
“I’m feeling good,” he told the club’s website.
“I’ve had a good week on the training ground and in the gym and I’m really looking forward to Saturday’s game.”
“It’s a massive opportunity for us to get into the third round of the FA Cup. We’ve all got ambitions of what we want from this competition and we’ll be taking this positive attitude into the game.”
“We know that we have to go there with the right attitude, ready to do a job. Dagenham have been struggling in the League below, but I would imagine that they will be as up for this game as us.”
“It’ll be a tough challenge, but we are ready for it. For me personally it will be another opportunity to show what I can do and help the team and I can’t wait.”
