League Football Education would like to share details of the new Alumni Player Voice initiative, which aims to bring together past apprentices across EFL academies and provide the opportunity to share transition-related experiences, both in and out of football.
The Alumni Player Voice will offer a safe space to talk about experiences, best practice and the areas for improvement in regard to the transition support provided by clubs and wider organisations.
To build understanding and identify common themes, LFE has put together a short survey. An email has been distributed to all former apprentices (cohorts 2005-07 to 2019-21) that LFE has on record, which includes a link to the survey. Those who wish to complete the form will also have the opportunity to express their interest in being part of follow-up focus group forums.
Responses will be collected until 5pm on Friday 16th July 2021. Answers will then be analysed to aid future practice and also help to inform content in the follow-up forums.
If you would like to contribute and have not received the email, or have any other questions, please contact Kelly Butterworth, Projects Officer (kbutterworth@lfe.org.uk) or LFE Communications (communications@lfe.org.uk).
