Port Vale Apprentices recently had a boost from the Club’s Vounteers Group who donated money towards the sponsorship of new boots for the youngsters.
Port Vale Volunteers Group consists of supporters who volunteer their services to the Club, helping with painting, office work or whatever else may need doing – and they frequently raise funds which are used to buy equipment for use in and around the Club.
The Volunteers Group have kindly donated a cheque for £500 towards the new football boots for the Apprentices.

Throughout the season the Youth Development department run various fund raising events, the most recent being the Golf Day on 21st September which was supported by Micky Adams and the football management team.
Held at Newcastle Under Lyme Golf Club, the day was hailed as a great success. Several teams took part in the event and Vale boss Micky Adams rushed over after training to take his place alongside Mark Grew.
Fourteen teams entered the competition – Club sponsors Harlequin entered three teams, and other teams included the likes of former Vale ‘keeper Mark Goodlad, Vale Centre of Excellence coaches and Crewe Alexandra management pairing Gudjon Thordarson and Steve Davis.
