Walsall U18s recently enjoyed a range of personal development based activities as part of their Apprenticeship Programme.
It started off with a mentor session delivered by LFE partner and Maidenhead United forward, Tobi Sho-Silva. The workshop focused on personal identity and identifying values that are essential to grow as a footballer, both on and off the pitch.
This was then followed up by a trip to the National Memorial Arboretum where the apprentices embarked on a personal period of reflection, with the underlying theme of the visit being discussing Walsall’s core Academy values and what it takes to be an elite performer amongst a setting that epitomises the ultimate example of teamwork, commitment and sacrifice.
Lee Fraser, Head of Education at Walsall said: “The lads gave a tremendous account of themselves, where there was a lot to take away and move forward with as they continue their Academy journey.”
