Welsh Call Up For City Starlet

James Owen

Chester City’s Youth department are delighted with the news that 2nd year Apprentice James Owen has been called into the Welsh U17 squad.

The youngster (pictured above) will join the rest of the team in Scandinavia to face Turkey, Norway and Sweden in three international friendly matches.

James has already represented his country against England in the Victory Shield and our congratulations go out to James and his family.

Mark Newman, City’s Youth Team Manager said:

“James came to me at Chester as an Under 12 and has been a model player and very professional since day one.”

“We are all delighted for him and hope he can continue learning and make the break through into the first team at the club in the near future.”
