On Friday it was confirmed that Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha will join Manchester United this summer in a deal that could reach £15m.
This news is the latest chapter in a remarkable journey for the 20-year-old.
Zaha who has eight siblings, arrived in the UK with his family, from the Ivory Coast aged just four.
Joining Palace as a schoolboy and then moving on to an Apprenticeship at 16, the youngster has made a rapid rise to prominence.
After making his first-team bow in 2010 he went on to earn England caps at U19 and U21 levels before making his full senior debut against Sweden in November.
He starred in last season’s League Cup campaign that saw Palace reach the semi-finals and has been a key player this term in the club’s push for promotion.
Named as the Football League’s Young Player of the Year last March, Zaha’s impending move to Old Trafford will provide him with a platform on one of football’s biggest stages.
